SEOUL, KOREA - Gamevil, one of Korea's largest mobile game developers, announced on June 13 that it has established a Chinese subsidiary Gamevil China. This is Gamevil's third overseas subsidiary following the establishment of Gamevil USA in 2006 and Gamevil Japan in 2011.
Through the Chinese unit, Gamevil plans to strengthen cooperation with local partners such as China Mobile and Tencent, while accelerating its localization moves particularly in the areas of marketing and services.
Backed by the popularity of Gamevil-made RPG games, including Genonia Series, in China, Gamevil is going all-out to preempt the Chinese smartphone game market. After building a clearer presence in the Asian market, Gamevil plans to develop itself into one of the world's leading game developers.
