SEOUL, KOREA - Along with the expansion of the smart e-learning market, KT is strengthening its education business by incorporating a group of education-specialized companies such as KT InnoEdu and KT OIC as its subsidiaries.

KT InnoEdu developed a cloud-based smart learning platform. The smart learning platform enables users to download learning contents through their desktop computers or smartphones anywhere and anytime.

In the first quarter of this year, KT InnoEdu signed a string of agreements with about a dozen of companies, including KT&G, Pulmuone, CJ Group, Hyundai Department Store, and Samchully, to provide smart learning platform-based education services.

KT OIC, a specialist in the development of educational contents, developed an English education program called “Smart English.” In December 2012, it provided the content to the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training. In addition, KT is also offering “Olleh TV School” service that provides a variety of educational contents to children through mobile apps.
