SEOUL, KOREA - Samsung Electronics announced on March 18th that it would release ‘LM561B’, an indoor lighting LED package that boasts the world’s best luminous efficiency next month.
The luminous efficiency of the product is 160㏐/W, up 30% compared with the company’s former version of ‘LM561A’. The new lighting package uses a small heat sink plate by reducing the exothermal reaction, making it possible to easily manufacture LED light products in various forms.
The local home appliances giant is producing many different types of LED products depending on Correlated Color Temperature (CCT), brightness and others in order to meet customers’ needs. The electronics company plans to introduce its new products at ‘LightFair International 2013’ that will be held in Philadelphia for three days from April 23rd.
The company also plans to release new products that have more than 90 points at the table of Color Rendering Index (CRI).
“We are now providing the best quality lighting products and will lead the premium LED light market by developing products that meet customers’ needs,” says a person from the company’s LED division.

삼성전자는 소비자 요구에 대응하기 위해 다양한 색온도(CCT)·컬러빈(빛 색상)·휘도별 제품을 갖췄다. 다음 달 23일부터 사흘간 미국 필라델피아에서 열리는 `국제조명박람회`에 참가해 신제품을 선보일 계획이다.
하반기에는 자연 빛에 가까운 정도를 나타내는 지표인 연색성 지수(CRI)가 90 이상인 제품을 새롭게 출시한다는 목표다.
삼성전자 LED 사업부 관계자는 “업계 최고 품질의 광원을 제공하게 됐다”며 “소비자 요구에 부합하는 제품을 개발해 프리미엄 LED 조명 시장을 선도할 것”이라고 말했다.
