SEOUL, KOREA- Soribada, which has remained the lowest rank for so long in the music source service market, is gearing up for a takeoff. The company joined hands with Samsung Electronics to supply music sources to Samsung Music scheduled to be established in September.

After years of lagging behind in competition with rivals which are affiliated with major companies, Soribada is going all-out to find an exit through diversification of distribution channels, including Facebook and Amazon.

Soribada recently signed a deal to supply music sources to Samsung Music that is run by Samsung Electronics. Samsung Music is a music service included in a content marketplace “Samsung Hub” that comes for free with the purchase of Samsung smartphones (starting from Galaxy S4 models).

Samsung unveiled Samsung Hub in March in which consumers can purchase contents related to music, videos, e-books, games, and e-learning contents. Samsung also announced a plan to launch a music service called Samsung Music from June.
