Cymera Breaks 30 Mil. Mark in Cumulative Downloads

SEOUL, KOREA- SK Communications announced on August 19 that its camera app Cymera passed the 30-million mark in cumulative downloads.Cymera, released in March 2012, has earned high popularity as a camera app that helps make the user look better. It reached the 30-million download milestone in just three months after passing a 20-million level in May and 10 million in December 2012.

Cymera, which had a daily download of 20,000-30,000 last year, saw its daily download number rise to about 150,000 in recent days.

In addition to Asia where Cymera was popular in its initial days, Cymera is also enjoying a rising popularity in North America and Europe where it occupied the top spot on Google Play’s free and recommended app ranking.

Since it was selected as a recommended app by Google Play, Cymera saw its daily download average at over 10,000 in the U.S. alone. Cymera is now used by more than 1.6 million people every day in 220 countries worldwide, with the number of its monthly users reaching 12 million.
