SEOUL, KOREA- YD Online posted consolidated sales of 8.5 billion won and operating profit of 1.3 billion won in the second quarter of this year, with its net profit estimated at 500 million won.Compared to a quarter ago, sales and operating profit grew by 4 percent and 225 percent, respectively. Year on year, however, sales fell by 6 percent due to a change in the way of dividing the overseas sales of its online game Audition. However, its operating profit marked a remarkable year-on-year growth of 750 percent.
On a non-consolidated basis, YD Online posted sales of 7.5 billion won, operating profit of 1.5 billion won, and a net profit of 700 million won.
If the mobile performance of its Japanese subsidiary Arario will be reflected from the second half of this year, YD Online would report steeper growth thereafter. YD Online aims to achieve sales of 43 billion won and operating profit of 6 billion won this year.
