SEOUL, KOREA - China Great Star International Ltd., a holding company engaged in the management of its subsidiaries and affiliates specializing in shoes and sportswear, said on November 15 that its third-quarter sales revenue was 127.7 billion won, with the cumulative sales for the nine-month period for the year reaching 396.7 billion won, up 10.6 percent from the same period last year.
The company's quarterly operating profit and net profit fell slightly to 16.9 billion won and 12.6 billion won. But its nine-month cumulative operating profit and net profit rose 12.1 and 12.6 percent respectively, the record-high level since its founding.
An official of China Great Star said, "Due to the unseasonably warm weather in September and October in China, our third-quarter clothing sales have suffered a slight setback. But we expect the sales of winter clothing items would rise by a large margin as cold days are forecast to arrive earlier than usual." Established in May 2008, China Great Star has three subsidiaries and three granddaugter companies, with 2,500 store locations throughout China.
