SEOUL, KOREA - Crucialtec,a specialist in fingerprint recognition technology, joined the Tizen Association, led by Samsung Electronics and Intel. The company announced on November 18 that it was accepted as one of the 36 new Tizen Association Working Group members.
Crucialtech as supplied fingerprint recognition modules for the latest smartphones such as Pantech’s Vega Secret Note.Market watchers, accordingly, expect that the Tizen smartphone, which will be released early next year, will be mounted with a fingerprint recognition feature.
Fingerprint recognition is enjoying a rising popularity as a way to protect privacy, with its application expanding toward high-end smartphones such as Apple iPhone 5, Pantech Vega Secret Note, and Vega LTE-A.
