SEOUL, KOREA - Asiana Airlines announced on November 18 that it will introduce a passenger management system Altea which has the largest share in the global passenger system market.
In time for the arrival of six A380 aircraft in 2014 and an increase in new ground equipment, Asiana mobilized 200 staff members and two years of R&D to introduce Amadeus’ Altea Customer Management Solution as its next-generation passenger system.
The Altea passenger management system has been adopted by 18 out of 28 Star Alliance member airlines. At present, the Altea system is used by 132 major airlines worldwide, including Lufthansa and Singapore Airline. The system has the largest market share in the world among all passenger systems.
Asiana Airlines plans to expand the scope of the application of the next-generation passenger system on a step-by-step basis, starting from Los Angeles International Airport in May 2014 toward other destination airports.
