SEOUL, KOREA - Nongshim announced on November 18 that its instant noodle “Shin Ramen” will be sold through the GBS Home Shopping in Kenya in Africa.The GBS Home Shopping,launched in 2010, is a home shopping-only channel run by Kenya’s TV station GBS.
ShinRamen will be sold twice a year through the channel until January 2014 and delivery is free for the capital city Nairobi and neighboring regions.
Nongshim will sell three types of instant noodles—Shin Ramen, Shin Ramen Cup, and Fried Udon Cup—through channel.
Nongshim made its first shipment to Kenya in April 2013 and has been selling 15 different products at discount outlets and smaller supermarkets, including Shin Ramen and Shrimp Crackers.
