SEOUL, KOREA - The G-Star 2013, the largest game exhibition in Korea, generated export contracts worth US$185.5 million, up 25.4 percent from last year’s $147.9 million, according to the Korea Internet Digital Entertainment Association.

The G-Star 2013 was held for four days starting from November 14 to 17 where as many as 512 exhibitors from 32 countries participated.

The association said that this year’s figure represented a record-high result. The strong results are attributable to an increase in the B2B exhibition space from 13,200 square meters last year to 18,400 square meters this year, with the number of the companies which participated in the B2B pavilion rising to 380, up 66 from a year ago.

The association stressed that one of the most outstanding performances of the G-Star 2013 is a sharp increase in the number of the buyers who paid to participate in the B2B pavilion. These buyers numbered 1,397, up 66.3 percent from 840 a year ago.
