Creative Korea 2013 is a convention launched in a move to bring together creative ideas, creative people, and creative venture businesses. It is based on the theory that knowledge-based capital, such as creative and innovative ideas, skills, arts, know-how and technology generated by individuals and small businesses are a key driver for today’s fast-growing society. With the rise of social media platforms, such intangible assets are becoming a dominant force for building up a new era of Korean economy.
Creative Korea 2013 is aimed to support those with creative minds by providing a variety of events, including open conferences, seminars and exhibitions.
The four-day convention kicks off on Dec 12 and runs until 15 at Coex, Seoul. The convention venue is set up in four different zones: participants will have opportunities to explore the power of creative thinking (zone1 - idea), seek start-up advice (zone2 – startup challenge), hear successful stories from leaders of creative economy (zone3 – growth), and learn about the collaboration programs with the government and large corporations (zone4 – collaboration).
Between Dec. 12th and 14th, there will also be networking parties joined by ventures, startups, incubators, investors and media-related persons, in addition to hosting organizations. Each of the networking parties will be held with a different theme every evening at 5pm after the convention closes.
Creative Korea 2013 is not just a one-time event; with the goal of realizing creative economy and happiness of Korean people, it will continue to serve as a world-leading information and communication hub for citizens, corporations and the central & local governments.
