Sony Korea Kick-starts Pre-order Sales for PS Vita TV

SEOUL, KOREA - Sony Computer Entertainment Korea announced on December 26 that it will release PlayStation Vita TV, the next-generation entertainment system of the PlayStation family, in Korea on January 16, 2014 and launch pre-order sales from December 27, 2013 to January 12, 2014.

The pre-order sales will be available through PlayStation partner shops, game-specific online shopping malls, online open markets (11th Street, Auction, G-Market, and Interpark), and social commerce site Coupang. The people who place pre-orders will be given a PlayStation Network Card voucher worth 5,000 won.

To celebrate the launch of the new game console in Korea, Sony also plans to provide the buyers of PS Vita TVs with a voucher that allow them to enjoy free download of five game titles.

The PS Vita TV, which was revealed first in September 2013, has attracted sharp attention from users since it enables them to connect to various contents through TV. The PS Vita TV is mounted with a chipset and PS Vita system software. Its dimension is 6.5 cm by 10.5 cm, the smallest among all other PlayStation platforms.
