SEOUL, KOREA - BMW Korea announced on January 3 that its motorcycle unit BMW Motorrad Korea sold 1,328 units last year, up 20 percent from a year ago. BMW Motorrad Korea renewed its previous record, after achieving the 1,000 mark in sales of over 500-cc large-sized motorcycles in 2012, first in Korea.

BMW Motorrad Korea released a variety of new models last year, including HP4, R Series (a model developed to celebrate the 90th anniversary), water-cooling type R 1200 GS, F 800 GS Adventure and F 800 GT.

To celebrate the milestone of passing the 1,300 mark in annual sales, BMW Motorrad Korea plans to provide a three-year free warranty period (adding one year into the existing two-year warranty) for those who purchase new BMW cars during the month of January.

For those who purchase new cars for 2013, it will also support their excise and registration taxes. And for those who purchase C 600 Sport or C 650 GT, it will provide an original parts service coupon worth 880,000 won.
