SEOUL, KOREA – Mirae Nano Tech (MNTech) said Tuesday it signed a contract to export USD 2 million worth of window films for cars and buildings to Turkey.
A Turkish distributor will sell MNTech’s products in Turkey and the volume is expected to reach USD 2 million in 2013.
MNTech’s window films for cars and buildings are designed to block heat and ultraviolet rays. MNTech expects it would post USD 4 million in 2014 and over USD 10 million in 2015 in exports to Turkey.
MNTech also said Turkey will serve as a beachhead for its attempts to break into the EU and the Middle East. MNTech has thus far exported its window films to China, the US, Singapore and Thailand.
An official from MNTech said, “Our window films will be exported under our own brand name of Solaire. Since demand for premium products is surging in the region, we expect our entry into Turkey will lay the foundation for MNTech’s further business expansion into the EU and the Middle East.”

미래나노텍, 자동차 및 건축용 윈도 필름 연간 200만 달러 규모 터키 수출 공급 계약
미래나노텍(대표 김철영)은 자동차•건축용 윈도 필름을 다음 달부터 터키에 수출한다고 26일 밝혔다.
수출은 터키 한 유통업체를 통해 진행되며, 규모는 올 해 연간 200만달러(약 22억원)가 예상된다.
자동차•건축용 윈도 필름은 열과 자외선 차단을 위해 자동차나 건물 창에 부착하는 필름이다. 미래나노텍은 올 해 200만 달러를 시작으로 내년에는 400만 달러, 2015년도에는 1000만 달러 이상으로 터키 수출 규모를 키워갈 수 있을 것으로 기대했다.
특히 이 회사는 터키가 유럽과 중동 시장으로 진출하는 교두보가 될 것이라고 의미를 부여했다. 지금까지는 중국•미국•싱가포르•태국 등지에 윈도 필름을 수출해왔다. 이번 터키 시장 진출을 계기로 유럽과 중동 시장에도 수출할 수 있을 것으로 전망했다.
미래나노텍 관계자는 “주문자상표부착(OEM) 방식이 아닌 자체 브랜드 `솔레이어`로 제품을 수출한다”며 “프리미엄 제품 수요가 급증하고 있는 유럽과 중동 시장에 진출할 수 있는 전기가 된다는 데 큰 의미가 있다”고 말했다.
