RS Components Attains Fully Franchised Global Distributor Status from Fairchild Semiconductor

SINGAPORE - RS Components (RS), the trading brand ofElectrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the world's leading high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products, has secured a franchised distribution deal with Fairchild Semiconductor, a leading global supplier of high performance power and mobile semiconductor solutions.

The terms of the agreement license RS to represent Fairchild as a fully franchised distribution partner across all geographic markets worldwide.

An authorised distribution agreement between the two companies has been in operation for some time, and RS maintains a well-stocked inventory of almost 2,000 Fairchild products ready for same-day despatch to anywhere in the world. Among these are a wide selection of discrete semiconductors and integrated circuits for power management, standard logic, interface, and LED lighting applications. This agreement provides RS with the flexibility to further extend its Fairchild range, ensuring that customers have access to the latest cutting-edge products from thesemiconductor vendor as soon as they are launched.
