사람들은 각각 여러가지를 갖출 수도 있고

자기 자신도 순할 때가 있고,
순하지 못할 때가 있는데,
어떻게 다른 사람을
모두 순하게 할 수 있겠는가?
다른 사람과 비교하여
균형있게 하는 것도
역시 하나의 좋은 방법일 것이다.

마음을 비운 상태에서 책을 읽어라.
참된 것을 배울 수 있다.
그렇지 않으면 선행을 보면서도
이것으로 자신의 나쁜 욕심을 실천하게 되고
한마디 좋은 말을 보고
이것을 자신의 잘못을 덮는데 쓴다.
이것은 적에게 무기를 빌려주고
도둑에게 양식을 내어 주는 것과 같다.

Even rich man will feel to be short,
if he is luxurious.
And it is inferior to the man
who is frugal.
At times, even the man of ability does his doings,
it could be inferior to the man
who has no ability and in leisure.
