Samsung Partners with Good Technology to Offer Secure Container and Market-Leading Apps on Samsung KNOXTM-Enabled Devices

Joint partnership now allows the enterprise to confidently deploy Android devices with the strongest mobile security solution protecting data and apps

BARCELONA, SPAIN - Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Good Technology™, a leader in secure mobility, today announced a strategic partnership that will provide the enterprise with an advanced mobile security solution for Samsung mobile devices.

This solution combines KNOXTM, Samsung’s end-to-end secure mobile platform solution with the market-leading Good secure container and Good-secured apps. Samsung will create a unique “Good Secure Domain” on KNOX-enabled mobile devices within any Good-secured mobile app will be able to operate, allowing customers to confidently deploy Good’s broad mobile app ecosystem and app-level security, while leveraging KNOX’s Android hardware security solution.

Good for Enterprise is the only email app for Android that has attained a Common Criteria EAL-4+ certification in addition to FIPS 140-2 validated encryption, offering a higher level of data protection and app security for Android devices.  Samsung KNOX introduces security for Android at the hardware and operating system level. Combined with KNOX’s ‘Root of Trust’ security model, the “Good Secure Domain” on KNOX satisfies the requirements of even the most security-conscious organizations.

Samsung and Good will introduce “Good Secure Domain” on the Samsung KNOX platform in the second half of 2014, and are showing an early access release of the integration at the Samsung booth in Hall 3 at Mobile World Congress.
