SEOUL, KOREA - Carrier Air-conditioner released on May 12 a brand-new air-conditioning and heating model that can be controlled through a smartphone. The 2014 Eco Green Inverter Air-conditioning and Heating product is mounted with an inverter, thereby offering higher energy efficiency.
A company official stressed, "Compared to existing static-speed models, the brand-new product can save maintenance cost by up to 30-50 percent."
In addition, the 2014 Eco Green Inverter Air-conditioning and Heating model is primed with a self-cleaning automatic drying system that eliminates humidity left at the fin of the heat exchanger and, accordingly, prevents the occurrence of mold.
The cutting-edge product is also mounted with a drive voltage restriction function that prevents overload, a locking function that enables only designated users to control it, and an oil retrieval function that contributes to expanding the lifespan of the compressor.
The company official added, "We will go all-out to satisfy customer demand by releasing a variety of models. We aim to achieve more than a 30-percent growth this year in the domestic mid- and large-sized system air-conditioner market."
