LG CNS Makes Forays into Chinese Market

LG CNS announced on June 11 that it would launch into China’s big data market with its social network service (SNS) analysis solution “Smart SMA.”Smart SMA, developed by LG CNS in 2012, is a solution that provides businesses with marketing information by collecting and analyzing SNS text messages.

In Korea, Smart SMA is used by a group of major companies, including LG Electronics, Shinhan Bank, KDB Daewoo Securities, and POSCO Research Institute.To create a presence in the Chinese market, LG CNS has formed a tie-up with a local big data company SAS China.

An LG CNS official said, “Through cooperation with SAS China, we will provide customized information by analyzing local SNS such as Weibo, Sohu, and QQ.

The number of China’s SNS users is estimated at 420 million in 2013, with SNS-related markets growing at a rapid pace there.
