Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, which are competing each other to grab the No. 1 spot in the global home electronics market in 2015, are making bigger forays into the global premium market.
Samsung Electronics announced on June 12 that it will release a premium home electronics lineup in the world’s largest market US. On the same day, LG Electronics also unveiled its plan to release premium lineup in Russia.
On June 11, Samsung Electronics held the Samsung Living Atelier event in Manhattan, New York, to show off its premium kitchenware “Chef Collection,” consisting of refrigerator, oven, microwave oven, and dish washer.
LG Electronics also recently held a special event in Moscow, Russia where it showcased a variety of its premium home electronics models to local media and buyers
