KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - Fresenius Medical Care the world's leading provider of dialysis products has set new clinical standards in Malaysia. Its clinic, The Kidney Dialysis Centre (TKDC) Taman Desa became the first private dialysis clinic in the country to achieve international accreditation since September 2013 through ACHSi.
The TKDC clinic recently celebrated its achievement of becoming the first internationally accredited private dialysis clinic in Malaysia at a ceremony when the accreditation plaque was unveiled by Dr Desmond Yen, Executive Director, ACHSi. Guests included Ministry of Health and other government officials.
Excellent renal care is of critical importance, since 60 percent of the Malaysian CKD is caused bydiabetes and hypertension[1], and with more than 28,500 Malaysian patients already receivingdialysis treatment[2].
Thanks to the constant commitment of TKDC's staff, the clinic guarantees high quality operations and patient safety. With its accreditation status, TKDC will serve as a model to
enhance the country's development in fulfilling safety standards and ultimately maximising patient outcomes.
