PENANG, MALAYSIA - ESCATEC, a leading contract design and manufacturing company, has just celebrated thirty years as a contract electronics manufacturer of high quality products.  The company started in Malaysia in 1984 with a small team and has grown to a staff of over 1500 worldwide.  ESCATEC now has 5 manufacturing facilities in Malaysia and a manufacturing and design centre in Switzerland.

Christophe Albin, who founded the company and is the Chairman, explains: "From the very start, we wanted to make the company different from other EMS companies by focussing on the high levels of quality and precision that the Swiss are world famous for.  Our other key differentiator is customer focus.  We work very closely with customers to become an integral part of their organisation, helping improve designs, suggesting innovations, and helping reduce costs.  As a result, customers from around the world stay with us for many years as they trust us to deliver products for them that they can safely put their brand names on."

Swiss-owned, ESCATEC prides itself on a very low staff turn over.  Nine of the original founding team are still working for the company.   Markus Walther, ESCATEC's CEO, adds: "We run the business like a giant family.  We look after staff and ensure that they can develop fulfilling careers within ESCATEC.  This creates a great atmosphere of teamwork where everyone pulls together to ensure that customers remain with ESCATEC and keep coming back with new and exciting projects for us."
