SEOUL, KOREA - Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors announced on July 23 that they ranked No. 1 and No. 6, respectively, in the 2014 product satisfaction survey conducted by U.S. market research firm JD Power.

Hyundai Motor achieved 804 out of 1,000 points, ranking No. 1, while Kia Motors scored 791. Standing behind Hyundai Motor were Ram Trucks, Volkswagen, and Mini.
In the small MPV-class category, Kia Motors’ Soul gained the No. 1 spot. Hyundai Motor’s compact car Accent also grabbed the first-ever No. 1 position in the same category.
JD Power’s product satisfaction survey was conducted with those motorists who spent three months after purchasing new cars in the United States between November 2013 and February 2014. This survey consisted of 93 questions in ten categories.
