The 36th story of a full-length business novel.
Once upon a time, there were two warriors from Greece. A Greek met the other Greek on the street. At first glance, they looked like a handsome Greek Pallas. As it turned out, however, the two were deadly enemies. Then, the tug of war took place. It lasted almost for thirty years. Finally, the long and tiring power struggle ended. Sparta won. Athens was vanquished and gone.
Like the severe fighting between Athens and Sparta the door will never be shut down unless one single hidden Champion appears in the arena. No matter how hopeless and how far it is, they, as if they were the Greek warriors, will try to achieve their glorious dream with vigor and vitality. Then, so-called he-man, like the Greek Pallas from Sparta, would be designated as King of the Earth and enthroned as the absolute Sun King in the World stage.
Already the War has spread out all over the world. There is noGarden of Eden at all in Asia & the Pacific, Europe, the North & South America, and other lands. It is extremely difficult to find out the quiet, peaceful and dreamful land with livable four seasons such as the Garden of Eden. (Below was the Garden of Eden, painted by Thomas Cole. Source: Wikipedia.)
More than three hundreds of years ago, an imaginative Venetian, Vivaldi, dreamed a dream that this earthly world would become an imaginary land unlike the tale of the Greek Pallas. Then, he presented it with a most cheerful and beautiful song in the name of Four Seasons. Like him, a pristine Austrian composer, Franz P. Schubert, also had a similar belief in the earthly world. Then he, like Vivaldi, created a sweet, sugary and serene song, Serenade, in praise for the beautiful perspective of the earthly world.
Like them there was a dreamful American artist named Thomas Cole. But, he was not a musician but a painter. Earnestly he wanted to see the Garden of Eden and made a painting with his artistic imagination. It was made in 1828 as shown above.
Nonetheless, their thinking was and is wrong.
Here, in the earthly world, there is not such a lovely and peaceful Land of Rainbow (Solongus). Absolutely, there is not an Elysium at all. Only brutal competition and challenge remain in an uncertain and dangerous situation. Look at the sky!
With auto pennants fluttering in the air, the first-rate careerists of the world have entered the World Parthenon. Then they are now ready to take risks to be the best and first charioteer. At this point, they look like racing superstars such as a Russian, Vladimir Chagin, nicknamed the Tsar of Dakar, a French Stéphene Peterhansel, or Sebastian Vettel, a young German bullfighter of F1, or Mr. Le Mans named Tom Kristensen and the other.
Like them, all of challengers are content and confident by saying that:
“Yes, I can. This is the life. Life is such. While there is life, there is hope. Everyone navigates the divide between hope and realism. But only positive thinker can see invisible, take untenable, and achieve impossible. Surely, that’s the reason of existence. And, it bodes well for my success. I’m ready for some finality-- at least two-fold.” (Below was Vettel at the US Grand Prix in 2012. Source: Wikipedia, Gussisaurio)
Once again, each of them has clinched teeth and said as below:
“Everything that is involved in international relationship amounts to a gamble, risk. Thus, one has to take risks, seeking much better opportunity from the ordeal. Right, so-called a courageous man has not come here to fail but to succeed in life. It is the same case for me. At least for me, I can. Confidence is the first condition for success. That is why I am fighting for my home, my faith and my country.”
Then everybody, like a competitor in the Dakar Rally or in the World Endurance Championships, has kept his plans to himself and made up his mind that:
“I do believe I’ll be the very he-man with boldest action and big ideas. I’ll chance it with my wild card. Frankly, for me, it’s a safe bet. I’ll never back down.”
In this way, all the powers believe in their own conceit and personal pride. Then they say to themselves inside that:
“My good fortune will outweigh my own talent and principle even if the road to power is tough and twisted and dangerous like the racing cockpit. Then, Cupid's wings will soon elevate me to success.”
