Kia Motors to Debut New Sorento on Aug. 28

SEOUL, KOREA - Kia Motors is set to debut new Sorento at the end of this month. The Korean car maker announced on August 11 that it will take pre-orders for the new Sorento from August 12.The New Sorento is a 3G model coming in five years and four months after its previous model was released.The New Sorento will be available only in gasoline model, coming in 2.0- and 2.2-liter varieties.

 

Kia Motors also revealed the retail price for the new Sorento. By trim, the price will be 27.65-33.5 million won for 2.0-liter Diesel and 29.25-34.36 million won for 2.2-liter Diesel.

The New Sorento has an exterior look which is similar to that of Carnival. Its interior space is widened. The length and wheelbase are extended by 98mm and 80mm, respectively.For the January-July period of this year, the domestic sales of the Sorento stood at 11,868 units, down 24 percent from a year ago.
