Then, the book spoke about dishonest and corrupt courtiers at the ritzy court of Shilla who would be his vigilant adversaries. It says that:
“Especially, there were high pillows with negative thinking against him. To their eyes, he was truly an ‘eyesore’ itself. Already, some of them have been unhappy and uneasy with his serial great successes in business. Out of envy and jealousy, they felt his riches and growing reputation were formidable and threatening. They presumed that his big fortune and great army would undermine their personal and political interests. Then they began to show their dislike of his great fame and fortune. Really, all of his success antagonized them.”

Continuously the book spread out their plot behind the back stage as below:
“Thus, he became their political target as if he had been an albatross around their neck. It was the beginning of concoction. And the concoction would be an ominous signal to the bright future of the country. However, the negative sign did not stop their jealousy against him. It did matter to them. Racked with envy and jealousy, they conspired together to fabricate malevolent disinformation about him as if they had been already involved in the tacit conspiracy. Right, they were really looming toward him like a sniper, snooper or assassin in secret. And then they came to think out the cunning idea and machinate how to do him harm.”
The real scene was described like a novel. One day, they got together in a dark place to discuss the affair and solve the heartburn in their mind. And the big topic was focused on the prosperous Prince of the Yellow Sea. In common, it was not understandable to harm the prosperous person. But there was an exception. To the narrow mindset, jealousy and envy won rationality. In this point, to the cussed figures, he was truly an emerging rival candidate to threaten their personal interests and power over the kingdom. For the reason, it was intolerable to see that sort of prosperous person go far very well. Thus, they got together to solve the hot grease as well as their heartburn.
At the meeting table, one of attendants, as a talebearer, revealed his inhibited mind as below:
“These days heacts as a great man. His glance upon me seems to be so arrogant and presumptuousthat I feel disgusted. I cannot tolerate it. To me, it must have been a great insult. Thus, I am intolerable. In my guess, it seems that he only thinks of himself and that there is no horizon in his desire. Some day, I am afraid, he will show his horns. And it will be a great threat to the nation and to all of us. So I as a man can no longer restrain or control my disgusting feelings against him.”
It was extremely a blinkered, cussed view. At this, however, another man agreed with him. Then he, like him, defamed him to find his blemish as below:
“Right, you are. I do think so. I fully agree with you. Seeing his recent overbearing attitude, I cannot overlook it as a trivial thing. He is now undoubtedly the wealthiest man with a whacking wealth. And, at present, he has a great army under his command. So it is not a deniable thing that he must be the most powerful man in the country. Maybe, it will be a potential threat upon the country soon. If he poses as a potential enemy to us in the future, he will be able to jeopardize our political interest.”
In this way he opened his mouth to cuss him. Then he added that:
“Basically he is an able man. As you know of his career, he was originally a colonial people from Baekjae. Thus, it was not possible that he could rise to prominence in the country if he had made a life in the country. But he was so clever that he knew of it very well. So he, even in his early tenth, crossed over the country daringly. Then he entered China. But, there, his amazing ability made him an admiral of China even if he was a young man in thirties. In my knowledge, it was not possible for anyone except him to rise to the generalship in the foreign country. Besides, the foreign country was not a small kingdom like our country Shilla but the biggest country, Chinese Empire of Tang. From this point of view, I am still thrilled for his stunning capability. Now, as you know it very well, his power is astounding. Once he fixes up an ambitious mind, no one can match him. To be sure, he will be handily able to overturn the established reign system of Shilla. Then he might pretend the crown. Thinking it over and over every time, I cannot make a sleep well at night.”
Here, his speech seemed to be from the great patriotism as if he had been a great patriot for Shilla. However, it was quite far from patriotism. Rather, it was an irrevocable irreverence out of jealousy and narrow mind. Any way, it must have been true that the cussed man had been suffering from the very heartburn. And the cause of the heartburn was the very man. And the man was now acting as the prosperous Prince of the Yellow Sea. Now, he was their target. Their jealousy made him their target. Another man joined him. And he, like the two men, severely castigated and befouled him in this sort of dastardly way. But nobody objected it. Everyone listened to him silently. Here, silence meant that “I, also, am suffering from his well-doing.”
Then, they all nodded heads, realizing that each of them could not vanquish him personally.
