Google to Setup “Campus” in Seoul, First in Asia

SEOUL, KOREA - Google held a press conference at Autoway Tower in Daechi-dong in Gangnam in Seoulon August 27 and announced its plan to set up a startup support space “Campus” in Seoul in early next year.

Campus is a space Google provides exclusively to start-ups. Through Campus, Google provides a variety of benefits to the start-ups, including Google’s mentoring service, connection with investors and technology infrastructure.

Unlike other start-up support programs, including venture incubators and angel investors, Google Campus does not demand some stakes from the start-ups.

The main objective of Google Campus is to promote the establishments of start-ups, aimed at developing itself into a hub for start-up establishment.The Campus Seoul will be the first in Asia and third in the world following the ones in London and Tel Aviv.

The Campus Seoul will be located inside the Autoway Tower building, with its floor space estimated at about 2,000 square meters, similar to the size of the Campus London, established in 2012.
