LG Electronics Makes Forays into Premium Vacuum Cleaner Market

SEOUL, KOREA - LG Electronics is making bigger forays into the global premium vacuum cleaner market. The company announced on August 27 that it will explore the global premium cleaner market which has been dominated by a string of European makers, including Dyson of the UK.

 

To this end, LG Electronics revealed a new brand “LG Cord Zero” while showing off a brand-new premium wireless vacuum cleaner which can run for 40 minutes and have a strong dust absorption power emulating those of general vacuum cleaners.

An LG Electronics official said, “The world’s vacuum cleaner market is sizable with $13 billion. In addition, Dyson, the No. 1 player in the global vacuum cleaner market, has a high operating profit-to-sales ratio of 18 percent. We expect our business in this area to grow faster than those of washing machines and refrigerators.”

The newly released wireless vacuum cleaner has dramatically improved the absorption power and battery usage hours compared to existing models.
