SEOUL, KOREA - Chevrolet’s compact sedan Chevrolet Cruze passed the 3-million mark in cumulative global sales.
According to GM Korea on August 29, the ChevyCruzeis now produced in 11 factories around the world, including Korea, North America, Asia, South America, and the Middle East, while being sold in 108 countries worldwide.
The Cruze broke the 3-million level in just 16 months after passing the 2-million mark.The Chevrolet Cruze, designed by the design and research staff at GM Korea and Opel of Germany, was released in Korea in 2008.
To better respond to diverse global demand, theCruzeis designed to come in various types, including a four-door sedan, a 5 door hatchback, and a station wagon.
Engine lineups include a 1.4-liter gasoline turbo, a 1.6- and 1.8-liter gasoline, and a 1.7- and 2.0-liter diesel.In Korea, 1.4-liter turbo gasoline, 1.8-liter gasoline, and 2.0-liter diesel sedan, and hatchback models are being sold.
