CafféBene decided to push up the prices of its coffee menus, following the earlier move taken by Hollys Coffee. The specialty coffee franchiser announced on September 4 that it will raise the average price of seven coffee menus by 5.8 percent starting from September 5.
For a regular-size cup of coffee, the price of Americano will be raised by 300 won to 4,100 won, while that of Café Latte and Cappuccino each by 300 won up to 4,600 won, respectively. The prices of Vanilla Latte will be raised from 4,800 won to 5,000 won.
A CafféBene official said, “The latest price hike decision is affected by the increase in operating costs plus the increase in consumer prices. We made this decision very carefully after negotiating with the owners of our franchise stores throughout the nation.”This is the first time for CafféBene to raise the prices of its coffee menus since July 2010.
