SEOUL, KOREA - National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) announced on the 2nd that it would select 15 tasks in participating in ‘2013 Open Source SW Development Support Project’ and make relevant contracts by the 7th. The Agency is to put KRW 1.3 billion in total to help companies and individual businesses implement their tasks and relevant communities.
Of the 15 tasks, seven will be designated by the Agency, and the rest will be freely decided by some of the participants. Out of the designated tasks, Redblock is to take care of ‘the establishment of an open environment based on a web application platform. Saltware will carry out ‘the development of a tool based on open source SW for DBMS conversion automation’. ONYCOM will implement the development of an integrated framework for the utilization of big data.
Regarding free tasks that are to be decided by some of the participants, the development of a geo-spatial web 3D platform for a web-based 3D service has been selected. An hwp open source library for LINUX and a video solution that enables co-participation will be developed as well.
NIPA is going to allocate a differential budget after reviewing their implementation plans. The tasks will be completed by November 29th, and the Agency is to support SW development and community activities and to arrange a workshop for the participants to exchange information.

국산 공개소프트웨어(SW) 개발을 지원하는 사업이 확대된다.
정보통신산업진흥원(NIPA)은 `2013년 공개SW 개발지원사업` 참여 과제 15개를 선정하고 오는 7일까지 관련 협약을 맺을 계획이라고 2일 밝혔다. 총 13억원을 투입해 기업, 개인 사업자의 공개SW 개발 프로젝트와 커뮤니티 운영을 돕는다.
이번 선정된 15개 과제 중 7개는 지정과제, 나머지는 자유과제다. 지정과제 중 레드블럭이 `웹 어플리케이션 플랫폼 기반 개방형 생태계 구축` 사업을, 솔트웨어가 `공개SW 기반 데이터베이스관리시스템(DBMS) 전환 자동화 툴 개발` 사업을 추진한다. 어니컴은 빅데이터 활용을 위한 통합 프레임 워크 개발을 수행한다. 이 밖에 미들웨어 성능 모니터링 툴 개발, 저비용 모바일 애플리케이션 개발을 위한 개발환경 구축 사업 등이 추진된다.
자유과제로는 에스지원정보기술의 `웹 기반 3D 서비스를 위한 지오웹 3D 플랫폼 개발` 사업 등이 선정됐다. 우분투한국커뮤니티가 `리눅스용 hwp 공개 라이브러리 개발` 사업을 수행하며, 개인 전문가로 구성된 `안봐도비디오` 팀이 `감상 시점 기반으로 함께 참여하는 동영상 솔루션 개발` 사업을 추진한다.
NIPA는 수행계획서를 검토해 예산을 차등 지원할 방침이다. 과제는 오는 11월 29일 마무리 될 예정으로 NIPA는 SW 개발과 커뮤니티 활동을 위한 자금을 지원하는 한편, 워크숍 등을 개최해 정보 교류의 기회를 제공한다.
NIPA 관계자는 “종전 법인에 한정됐던 참여 대상을 올해부터 개인 사업자까지 확대했다”며 “접수된 신청 건수가 83개에 달해 경쟁이 치열했다”고 말했다.
