Daelim Industrial Wins Project to Expand Kuwaiti Refinery Capacity

SEOUL, KOREA - Daelim Industrial said on May 2 it won an order to repair and install sulfur recovery units for the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, the national oil refining company of Kuwait.
The 570-billion-won project will be in the form of EPC under which Daelim will be responsible for the whole process from engineering to procurement and construction.
 
The project will take place in the Mina Ahmadi refinery, 35 kilometers south of Kuwait City. The company must engage in the concurrent job of repairing obsolete units while installing new ones in order to expand the recovery capacity up to 2 million tons a year from current 850,000 tons within three years of time.
 
Daelim Industrial is currently working on a 1-trillion-won project to build a plant to produce ethane, propane, and butane in Mina Ahmadi while undertaking a 220-billion-won project to install a remote controlling system for gas pipelines in the Port of Shuaiba. Since 2010, Daelim has been aggressive in winning projects in Kuwait.
