SEOUL, KOREA - LG Electronics announced on May 13 that it will invest 120 billion won by 2015 to enhance the level of environmental security and safety at its business locations.
Under this plan, LG Electronics will increase the number of in-house experts, as well as improving and checking the state of environmental security at its facilities on a regular basis.
In addition, LG Electronics will improve environment-related facilities, including waste water disposal facilities and bad odor-reducing facilities, while repairing and replacing old facilities with new ones.
LG Electronics also plans to improve firefighting facilities, including spring coolers, plus dangerous and harmful material control equipment.
LG officials said, "By increasing investment in environmental safety and security, as well as increasing the number of professional experts in this area, we will strengthen preemptive management system, aimed at performing corporate social responsibility faithfully."
