SEOUL, KOREA - Ford Korea released MKZ sedan, a new version of its luxury brand Lincoln, on May 23. The most striking feature of MKZ sedan is an EcoBoost engine. MKZ sedan is released in Korea, first among Asian countries.
MKZ sedan's rival models include BMW 5 series, Audi A6, and Hyundai Motor's Genesis. As many as 200 units of MKZ sedans are assigned for the Korean market this year.
Compared to existing models that have an engine with a 3.5-liter displacement, MKZ sedan features a 2.0-liter engine, while showing a same-level performance. MKZ sedan's EcoBoost engine has a maximum output of 234 hp and a maximum torque of 37.3 kg.m, similar to those of previous versions. Its combined fuel efficiency is 10.5 km per liter, a 20 percent improvement compared to previous models.
Its interior works are done by a Korean designer Kang Soo-Young. With a shift-lock-button transmission, the 2.0 EcoBoost model has a retail price of 47 million won.
