SEOUL, KOREA - Samsung Electronics is going to show its new products of both ‘GALAXY’ and ‘ATIV’ brands in London on June 20.
The local home appliances giant sent out invitations to foreign media on May 27 for an event of ‘Samsung Premiere 2013 GALAXY & ATIV’.
The invitation says that the event will be held at Earl’s Court 2 exhibition hall in London on June 20 at 7 pm. The introduction of new products to be released and the contents of the event are not, however, specifically mentioned on it.
GALAXY is a brand for Smartphone and Smart pad based on Google Android O/S and ATIV is another brand for MS O/S-based Smartphone and Smart pad.
At least two new products of each brand are expected to be introduced at the event. Some of the candidates are ‘GALAXY S4 Mini’, ‘GALAXY S4 Zoom’ and ‘GALAXY S4 Active’. As for ATIV, new laptop computers and Smart pad products are to be shown there.
“We are going to hold an exhibition to introduce our new products in the UK on June 20. But we cannot tell you what products will be released there,” says a source from Samsung.

초청장에는 6월 20일 오후 7시(현지시각) 런던 얼스코트2 전시장에서 행사를 개최한다는 내용이 담겨있다. 발표 제품 소개와 행사 내용은 구체적으로 밝히지 않았다.

해외에서는 갤럭시와 아티브 브랜드 제품 최소 2종 이상이 소개될 것으로 예상하고 있다. 행사에서 발표가 유력한 제품은 `갤럭시S4 미니`와 카메라 기능을 강화한 `갤럭시S4 줌`, 방수·방진 기능을 갖춘 `갤럭시S4 액티브` 등이다. 아티브는 노트북이나 스마트패드 제품이 소개될 것으로 예상된다. 초청장에 포함된 사진 3개도 이 같은 예상을 뒷받침한다.
삼성전자 관계자는 “내달 20일 영국에서 신제품을 소개하는 행사를 개최한다”면서 “구체적인 제품은 아직 밝힐 수 없다”고 말했다.
