Apple’s iPad was sold 14.6 million units, grabbing a market share of 28.3 percent. Since Apple released iPad first in April 2010, its market share has consistently stayed over 30 percent.
In 2010, Apple’s iPad commanded a market share of 79.2 percent on an annual basis. Its market share, thereafter, has declined to 52.7 percent in 2011 and 38.4 percent in 2012.
