Kia Motors Announces to Take Pre-orders for K3 Koup

SEOUL, KOREA- Kia Motors announced on August 18 that it will start receiving pre-orders for the K3 Koup, a coupe model of its compact sedan K3, until August 26. The K3 Koup is scheduled to be officially released from August 27.The K3 Koup is a follow-up model of the Forte Koup that was released in 2009. With a two-door coupe style, the K3 Koup is appointed with frameless doors. The new model is intended to compete with the two-door Avante Coupe released in the first half of this year.

The K3 Koup will come in two different models—1.6 liner spray engine (maximum output of 140 hp, maximum torque of 17.0 kg.m) and 1.6 turbo engine (maximum output of 204 hp, maximum torque of 27.0 kg.m).

The K3 Koup is mounted with an LED daytime drive lamp, a VSM, six airbags, an HAC, and an ESS. The suggested retail prices are 17.9 million won for the 1.6 GDI luxury model, 20.7 million won for the 1.6 turbo GDI trendy model, 22 million won for the prestige, and 22.9 million won for Nobless.
