SEOUL, KOREA - The Korea Electronics Show (KES) 2103, the exclusive electronics ∙ IT exhibition in South Korea, will be held from October 7 to 10 at KINTEX in Ilsan Goyang city, Kyoungi province.
Under the theme, “Creative IT, Be in it,” 800 IT-related companies from Korea, Japan, the United States, and others will participate in the exhibition.
Started in 1969, this year’s exhibition marks the 44th anniversary. KES has played a key role in helping Korea become the 4th largest electronics industry, facilitating the export growth of Korean electronics products. It has also topped the list of ‘Global Top 3 Exhibitions’ for 5 years receiving recognition for its size and reputation around the globe.
As the exhibition has integrated a complete product portfolio on the semiconductor and display sectors since 2008, it has become possible for international buyers to see supply lines through attendance of the show.
KES 2013 will have the 53,541㎡ floor space exhibiting the best-selling models in the world from area such as smart phones, semiconductors, and displays. Next generation convergence solutions, such as well-being household appliances, 3D, industry convergence, IT convergence, will also be displayed.
Since the show is closely associated with global IT fairs in other Asian countries, and buyers from the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East gather together, it will open up opportunities for overseas decision makers to to look at future technology trends and investment prospects.
Beginning from the opening ceremonies and Gala Show, celebrating the kick off and promoting entertainment, the show will unveil events for new products to help introduce new cutting-edge technologies. In addition to this, there will be international technology seminars and conferences aimed to share IT information and future IT trends.
“KES Innovation Awards,” newly created in 2012, will award outstanding products that are evaluated to innovative and creative in the New Product, Design, and Content categories.
