SEOUL, KOREA- On September 2, Kia Motors released a 2014 version of its compact car Ray that has stronger commercial value than those of the predecessors. The Ray 2014 is appointed with a variety of driver convenience packages, including parking brake alarm bell, a heated steering wheel, a button starting smart key, and a chrome door outside handle.
The parking brake alarm bell helps safe driving as it generates alarm sound when the driver moves the car with the parking brake on. For higher than gasoline prestige models, Kia Motors applied second-tier heated seats and center consoles. For turbo model, it added a luxury trim.
Despite the expansion of convenience specs, Kia Motors said that it minimized price increases, with the price of some models remaining unchanged.
The sales price is as follows. Gasoline: 12.45 million won-15.1 million won, Turbo: 15.1 million won-15.7 million won, Biofuel: 16.4 million won, Eco-Plus: 15.6 million won.
