The 50-million man-hour feat can be achieved by mobilizing 1,000 workers for 13 years and nine months with 10 hours of work every day. The contractor said it would be able to break the 60-million man-hour record by the time it completes the project in February next year.
The Ruwais Refinery Expansion Project involves up to 13,000 workers a day with more than 200 construction vehicles. Under the adverse conditions of extreme heat and sand storms, managing workers from 17 different countries all across the world requires gargantuan effort, to say the least.
