SEOUL, KOREA- LG Electronics announced on September 4 that it will release a designer drum washing machine through cooperation with a famous designer Holly Fulton. This is the first time for Holly Fulton design famous for splendid color and bold design to be applied with a home electronics item.
An LG Electronics official said, "We will make our washing machine reborn as a fashion item." The key feature of the washer is that it can have a customized exterior design as it appoints the one selected by consumers themselves among Fulton's design graphics into the exterior design.
The washing machine is primed with Europe's highest energy efficiency grade of A+++, while employing LG Electronics' unique DD motor technology. LG Electronics plans to sell the model through the UK's online home electronics sales channel Appliance Online (ao.com) only for one month, at a price of about 829 pounds (US$1,295).
