SEOUL, KOREA- Dasan Networks launched into overseas telecommunications service market for the first time among Korea's networks telecom equipment companies. The company announced on September 4 that it kick-started an IP-PTT-based commercial service throughout Japan through its first in-house tech start-up J-Mobile.
IP-PTT is a radio service that uses commercial mobile telecommunications networks such as 3G and 4G. IP-PTT enables a high level of communications speed and various services without establishing separate networks, thereby garnering acclaims as a new technology that can replace existing TRS (Trunked Radio Service).

In particular, this technology is enjoying a rising demand in Japan where MCA (Multi-Channel Access) frequency is set to be withdrawn in 2014.

Dasan Networks established J-Mobile in Japan through a joint investment with its affiliated Korea Able in April 2013 and has prepared to release its radio service in Japan, aimed at achieving the No. 1 spot in the country's IP-PPT market.
