KT Tops in Dow Jones Sustainability Index for 3 Consecutive Years

SEOUL, KOREA- KT announced on September 12 that it was included in the “Industry Leader Group” on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World for three straight years.
DJSI World is a globally-renowned index that measures the degree of corporate sustainability through a comprehensive assessment of financial performances and non-financial factors of the world’s 2,500 major companies. The index is assessed by Dow Jones of the United States and RobecoSAM of Switzerland, the consultancy specializing in sustainability investing solutions.

In particular, with respect to the evaluation of non-financial factors, it gauges the degree of corporate social responsibility activities by assessing transparency of governance structure, commitment to win-win growth with SMEs, environment-friendly management practices, and social contribution activities.

Industry leader group refers to top companies in each of the 24 industry groups. Among Korean companies, KT and Lotte Shopping were the only companies included in the industry leader group.
