Line Game Surpasses 200 Mil. Mark in Cumulative Downloads

SEOUL, KOREA- The 36 games that are offered through Line Game, a game service provided by a global mobile messenger Line, passed the 200-million level in cumulative downloads on September 6, in one year and two months after the service was launched.
Line Game is a game service that provides game content to members of the Line mobile messenger service. Since launching its first game “Line Birzzle” in July 2012, it has released four more games, including Line Pop in November 2012 and, thereafter, expanded its game lineups.

At present, Line offers a total of 36 games (28 were released globally and 18 were developed by Korean game companies).

The number of downloads for Line Pop and Line Bubble has been on an upward trend, reaching 34 million and 26 million, respectively. Even the games like Line Wind Runner and LINE Pokopang where Line characters are not included, are enjoying a steady growth in download numbers, with Line Game’s cumulative downloads surpassing the 200-million milestone on September 6 in 14 months after launch.
