KT to launch Korea-Japan Wi-Fi Automatic Roaming Service

Tuesday, September 17th, 2013
SEOUL, KOREA- KT announced on September 16 that it will launch a Korea-Japan Wi-Fi automatic roaming service. The newly offered Wi-Fi automatic roaming service will enable KT customers to use NTT DoCoMo’s Wi-Fi network if they go to Japan, while allowing NTT DoCoMo’s clients to use KT’s Wi-Fi network if they visit Korea.
To use Wi-Fi network services in other country, thus far, users had to enter a user ID and a password whenever they log on to a wireless network. The automatic roaming service, however, will allow users to enjoy Wi-Fi automatically only with a single click.

To provide its clients with the opportunity of experiencing the new Wi-Fi automatic roaming service, KT will offer the service for free to the first 4,000 people who apply for the service on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Those who want to use the service can apply for it at KT’s website (www.olleh.com). If a user wins the privilege of belonging to the client experience group, she will be given a chance to enjoy the service for free in Japan.
