SEOUL, KOREA- Following Apple which started selling iPhone 5 worldwide from September 20, Samsung Electronics launched official sales of Galaxy Note 3 on September 25. They will be followed by LG Electronics which is set to release Vu 3 on September 27.
Samsung Electronics held a media day event on the 25th at its headquarters building in Seoul’s Gangnam where it released its brand-new phablet Galaxy Note 3. A Samsung official said, "The Galaxy Note 3 has bigger screen and battery than its previous version but thinner and lighter, thereby drawing a good response from global telecom operators."
Galaxy Note 3 adopts a 5.7-inch screen, 0.2 inch larger than that of its previous version Galaxy Note 2. Despite employing a 3,200-mAh battery, the Galaxy Note 3 reduced its weight and thickness to 168 grams and 8.3 millimeters.
S Pen, a key feature of Samsung's Note series, can be used as a medium for communication, not as a simple handwriting tool. Its Action Memo function recognizes memo data on hand printing which connect to call, save numbers, finding maps and so on. The Galaxy Note 3 will be released at the price of 1,067,000 won.
