SEOUL, KOREA- LG Electronics announced on September 26 that its G2 smartphone and curved OLED TV are selected to receive the Best Design Award and the Best New Product Award at the Korea Electronics Show.
The G2 features a distinguished design with the power and volume buttons which were located at the front and side of the smartphone, being relocated onto the rear side. The G2 is also designed to improve user convenience. Based on considerations that smartphone users grip the phone with their fingers, the button is located on the rear side, a place where the second finger is positioned, thereby making it easier for users to control the phone.
The G2 also offers an improved feel of grip by reducing the bezel thickness to 2.65 mm and enlarging the screen size up to 5.2 inches. Organized jointly by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy and the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning, the KES is scheduled to be held at KINTEX in Ilsan in the northwest of Seoul on October 7.
