SEOUL, KOREA - CJ Korea Express declared its vision to leapfrog itself into the world’s top-five logistics company by 2020.
The company held a ceremony to celebrate its 83rd anniversary since foundation on November 14 where its vice chairman Lee Chae-Wook said, “We will make entry into the global top-five ranking within 2020 by achieving sales of 25 trillion won and operating profit of 1 trillion won.”
To this end, CJ Korex plans to go all-out to secure world-class logistics service capabilities. Lee added, “We will provide integrated logistics services for large shippers and global companies in and outside Korea. We will also establish strategic partnerships with manufacturers. We will also place more focus on retaining and fostering global talents.”
CJ Korex is currently operating 70 business bases in 16 countries thanks to the integration between Korea Express and CJ GSL in April. Lee plans to expand this into 200 bases in 50 countries by 2020.
