Samsung’s Tizen-embedded Smartphone Passes Radio Wave Test

SEOUL, KOREA - Samsung Electronics’ brand-new smartphone mounted with a new operating system Tizen passed the domestic radio wave test.The National Radio Research Agency announced on November 20 that Samsung’s mobile device TRATS2 completed the radio wave certification test two days ago.

The smartphone is expected to be a prototype model that is designed to test embedded software before Samsung Electronics releases its Tizen smartphone early next year.The company has recently made the first part of its official smartphone model names, which has been different by region and country before,integrated into “SM” which means Samsung Mobile.

Tizen is a new smartphone operating system developed by Samsung Electronics and Intel.Previously, Samsung Electronics had released a mirrorless camera appointed with the same operating system. It plans to release Tizen-embedded models in the areas of smartphones and smart TVs next year.
